He can be a little nervous in a car and has done well meeting people on outings but can get scared easily with new noises he hears. He loves to snuggle and give puppy kisses, plus his favorite sleeping position is on his back. Higgs would do ok as an only dog but loves being around the 5 adult dogs ranging in weight from 91 to 35 pounds currently at the house and he seems to learn from them. He has learned what toys are and loves playing with them. He does well sleeping through the night and has taken to sleeping with Apple, another Saving Grace alumni at night, as she has turned into his foster dog mom. I have been medically fostering him and he has learned to sit and is learning to go to the backdoor when he must go outside to the bathroom. He’s ready to find his forever home but will need some additional time to heal on a soft surface, once he’s healed he’ll live a full and happy life! Higgs will be hanging out in the puppy area each afternoon this week to meet potential adopters, so make an appointment if you think your family could be his special match. We'd say he's one lucky pup but if you've met him you'd know he's deserving of everyone's love and investment. to his foster family! Thanks to their investment of time and love Higgs has had the most wonderful care any pup could ask for, as you can see from their update below. Thanks to all of you who helped this fantastic guy his surgery was completed a couple of weeks ago, and Higgs has been healing in one of our wonderful foster homes.
